Background:
On hand is a downpipe from CC Design that is the subject of a flow test.
This is a 4″ downpipe with a GESi catalytic converter.
Flow Test:
The flow test involves attaching the downpipe to the flow bench using a 3″ to 4″ silicone coupler and attaching a bellmouth at the inlet of the downpipe.
The bench is operated at a depression of 16″ of H2O, and the airflow rate through the downpipe at this depression is recorded.
Test Results:
The CC Design 4″ GESi downpipe flows 377 CFM @ 16″ of H2O.
Conclusions:
The CC Design 4″ GESi downpipe for the Mk7 GTI and Golf R was the subject of a flow test, which found it to flow 377 CFM at 16″ of H2O.
