The final evaluation with the APR Intake setup pairs the APR Carbon Fiber airbox with the APR turbocharger inlet pipe.
The previous test consisted of the APR airbox utilizing the stock Mk7 turbocharger inlet pipe.
Setup:
As was the case in prior intake tests the airbox assembly and turbo inlet pipe are connected together as they would be on the vehicle and then the entire system is attached to the flowbench.
Airflow through the intake is then measured at a test depression of 28″ of H2O.
Results:
Airflow through this APR airbox and APR TIP combination is shown below compared to the APR airbox using the Mk7 GTI stock TIP.
Conclusion:
There is a distinct gain in airflow when going from the Mk7 GTI stock turbo inlet pipe to the APR turbo inlet pipe. The gain in airflow is slightly more than 6%.
