The second intake to be evaluated in terms of intake air temperature performance is the Induct Performance air intake system. This data collection is part of the search for the best air intake for the Mk7 GTI.
The temperature probes are placed at the entrance area of the airbox, shown in the picture above, as well as the turbocharger inlet elbow. The temperature of most interest is that at the turbo inlet elbow.
As with the previously measured Integrated Engineering cold air intake the vehicle will be driven several times along the same route over different days with the intake air temperatures being recorded continuously.
