A few pictures of the eBay front mount IC installed on my GTI.
I choose an IC that used a black paint so that it would be hard to detect with the bumper cover installed. I placed a small strip of black electrical tape over the t-bolt clamps that hold the black silicone hoses in place since the bare metal of the clamp could be seen through the grill.
A casual observer would be hard pressed to notice that there is a FMIC sitting behind the lower grill.
