5150 DSG Tuning – Week 1 Progress

In my last post about having 5150 provide a customized TCU tune I concluded the post saying I needed to provide 5150 with the details of what I am looking to do.  It turns out that there is another step that needs to be completed before that, deciphering the spreadsheet 5150 provides for selecting shift points.

The first spreadsheet contained rows and columns with numbers but no explanation for what any of it was, no column headers, etc.  A second spreadsheet was received a few days later that contained a little more information about what the tables are supposed to reference, such as upshift and downshift, rpm and speed, but there is still a lack of explanation about how to use the tables to chose preferred shift points.

Hopefully guidance will soon be given so development can move forward.
