034 Motorsports turbo muffler delete was installed on my GTI so that I could add a temperature sensor post turbocharger.

Reading the temperature of the air as it exits the turbocharger is the point of having this sensor installed.
A drive was made that included a short third gear (DSG) acceleration from 30-60 mph with boost pressure around 20 psi (IHI IS38 turbo). The results are shown in the chart below:

For being a short pull at modest boost pressure the turbo outlet temperature rises a good amount. At peak the outlet temperature is about 175 degrees F above the ambient temperature and the intercooler (Unitronic) is able to recover approximately 160 degrees F.
Shown below is a longer third gear pull with boost initially rising to around 25 psi and tapering down to 22 psi.

During this short pull the outlet temperature peaks around 315F. The Unitronic intercooler does a good job dropping the temperature 222F to produce an intake air temperature of 93F at the peak outlet temperature.
